A glulam member is obtained by finger-jointing and bonding timber laminations with parallel grain, with a moisture content of between 11% and 15%. The products are made from at least 4 laminations less than 45 mm thick. The glulam products of the Monnet-Seve Sougy group are planed on four sides with chamfered edges. The timber used to make our glulam products comes from sustainably managed forests (PEFC certification). Glued laminated timber can be used as a structural frame when the span exceeds 6 to 7 metres, or even 10 metres in length, that is to say when solid timber boards are hard to find. We work with 3 timber species We work mainly with spruce, Douglas fir and pine in all standard or bespoke dimensions up to 40 m in length. In our workshops we carry out the cutting and drilling for our customers' projects. We offer one of the widest ranges on the market: beams, straight members with or without precamber, curved members, variable depth, round posts, re-glued beams, timber slabs, acoustic floor slabs, and so on.
