A classic Georgian house renovated with Accoya

For this luxurious five-bedroom home in Essex, the British joiner Westbury Windows & Joinery chose Accoya wood in order to recreate faithfully the original Georgian features on the facade. The project includes “Legacy” style sash windows, a six-panel front door and partly glazed, panelled garage doors. The spring-balanced sliding windows, set back 20 mm behind the render in the traditional manner, combine “Classic” glazing with slender frames to give the illusion of period single glazing while offering the performance of double glazing. The exceptional dimensional stability of Accoya guarantees sashes that work all year round and finishes, such as the moss grey of the garage doors, that last twice as long.
