FIMMA + Maderalia is Spain's leading wood and furniture trade fair, held every two years by Feria Valencia. It combines two shows: FIMMA , for woodworking machinery and tools (primary and secondary processing, tooling, drying, software), and Maderalia , for materials and components (timber, panels, veneers, hardware, coatings and adhesives, doors and windows). It targets furniture makers, joiners, fit-out companies, interior designers, merchants and distributors. New in 2026: an industrialised construction show inside the fair, to push timber in construction. The 2024 edition brought together 434 exhibiting companies and 30,190 visitors from 63 countries.

Architect@Work Nantes 2026

Parc des expositions de la Beaujoire, Nantes, France

Architect@Work Nantes brings together architects, interior architects and building specifiers every two years around new products selected by a committee. The 7th edition takes place at the Parc des expositions de la Beaujoire, on the theme "Transformations": transforming and extending existing buildings rather than erasing them. More than 110 new products are announced, with talks, including one co-organised by Fibois Pays de la Loire and the regional bio-based building collective, and the MATERIA exhibition on eco-construction (earth, stone, plant fibres). The 2024 edition gathered 100 exhibiting manufacturers and over 2,100 on-site visitors.

International Timber Construction Forum (IHF) 2026

Congress Innsbruck, Innsbruck, Autriche

The Internationales Holzbau-Forum (IHF) is Europe's leading timber construction congress. Organised by Forum Holzbau, it takes place every year in early December at Congress Innsbruck, Austria. Over three days, architects, structural engineers, carpenters, manufacturers and clients attend talks on timber construction projects, techniques and products: cross-laminated timber (CLT), glulam, connections, hybrid construction and prefabrication. The 2026 edition expects around 3,000 participants and some 200 exhibitors supplying products and systems for timber construction.

BAU is the world's leading trade fair for architecture, materials and building systems. Held every two years by Messe München, it fills 18 halls of the Munich exhibition centre and covers residential and commercial construction as well as interior fit-out. Its Wood sector brings together facades, wood-based materials, timber construction and structural timber engineering. The 2027 edition launches a dedicated interior fit-out sector and an area for serial and modular construction. Architects, engineers, manufacturers, merchants and contractors come from all over Europe. The 2025 edition brought together 2,230 exhibitors from 58 countries and over 180,000 visitors .

Klimahouse 2027

Klimahouse is the international trade fair for responsible building and energy efficiency, held every year by Fiera Bolzano in South Tyrol, Italy. Insulation, windows, building systems and sustainable building solutions are on show over four days, with more than 100 events. Timber plays a central role: timber builders and wood-fibre insulation makers exhibit, and the fair awards the Wood Architecture Prize. Carpenters, merchants, specifiers and private visitors come from all over Italy. The 2025 edition brought together over 400 exhibitors and over 30,000 visitors .

Bio360 Europe 2027

Parc des expositions de la Beaujoire, Nantes, France

Bio360 Europe is the international trade show and congress for bioenergy and the bioeconomy, held every year in Nantes by BEES. It brings together three long-standing shows, including the Salon Bois Énergie (wood energy) created in 1998, as well as Biogaz Europe and Regen Europe. It covers the whole wood energy chain (pellets, wood chips, boilers and industrial heating), as well as bio-based materials, carbon management (biochar, carbon credits) and green gases. Attendance is 100% professional, with five conference tracks in simultaneous translation. The 2026 edition brought together 450 exhibitors from 45 countries and 5,500 participants .

International Timber Construction Forum 2027 — Paris

The Forum International Bois Construction (FBC) brings together the French timber construction community every year: clients, architects, engineering firms, carpentry and construction companies, manufacturers and merchants. The 16th edition takes place at the Grand Palais in Paris. The Forum combines a conference programme on timber and bio-based construction projects and solutions with a manufacturers' exhibition: solid timber and glulam structures, connectors and fixings, insulation, cladding and software. The 2026 edition welcomed 17,987 visitors , 326 exhibitors and 124 architecture and engineering practices.

Global Industrie 2027

Global Industrie is France's largest industrial trade show. Held every year by GL events, alternating between Paris and Lyon, in 2027 it fills the whole of Eurexpo Lyon and covers the entire industrial value chain: machining, robotics, additive manufacturing, electronics, materials and energy, with more than 3,000 machines running. Manufacturers, engineers, buyers and decision-makers come to find equipment and subcontractors. For the timber industry it is mainly an equipment show: automation, handling, tooling and production software. The 2026 edition brought together 2,300 exhibitors and 60,000 professionals .

Bois & Habitat 2027

Bois & Habitat is the only Belgian show entirely dedicated to timber and eco-construction. Held every spring in Namur by Easyfairs, it gathers around 150 companies specialising in timber and eco-materials around four themes: building, renovating and extending; interior and outdoor fit-out; furniture and decoration; wood energy. Open to the public and to professionals, it offers a timber information area, talks, workshops and craft demonstrations. The Forum Horizon Bois , for professionals (builders, architects, engineering firms), takes place on Friday 19 March 2027. The 2026 edition brought together 160 exhibitors .

LIGNA is the world's leading trade fair for woodworking and wood processing machinery, tools and equipment. Held every two years in Hannover by Deutsche Messe, in partnership with the German machinery association VDMA, it covers the whole chain: forestry, sawmilling, panel production, joinery and furniture machinery, surface finishing, tooling, software and automation. It is where machinery manufacturers unveil their innovations for the next two years. Sawmills, panel producers, joiners, furniture makers and timber builders travel there from all over the world. The 2025 edition brought together 1,433 exhibitors and close to 78,000 visitors .

interzum is the world trade fair for suppliers to the furniture and interior fit-out industry. It is held every two years in Cologne by Koelnmesse. It covers everything that goes into making furniture and interiors: wood-based panels and decorative surfaces, veneers, edge bands, fittings and hardware, components, textiles and upholstery materials. Furniture makers, fit-out specialists, kitchen manufacturers and joiners come to spot the materials and trends of the next two years. The 2025 edition brought together 1,616 exhibitors and around 60,000 visitors .

Euroforest 2027

Chaumont private forest, Saint-Bonnet-de-Joux, France

Euroforest is France's leading forestry show and the second largest in Europe. Held every four years by Fibois Bourgogne-Franche-Comté and the forestry cooperative CFBL, it takes place outdoors in the private Chaumont forest, in Saône-et-Loire. The 9th edition grows to four days. It covers the whole forest and timber chain: nurseries and planting, silviculture, logging and forestry equipment, primary processing and wood energy, with live machine demonstrations, lumberjack competitions and debates (climate change, jobs, forest fire prevention). The 2023 edition welcomed 42,540 visitors from 18 countries and 416 exhibitors .

Artibat is the construction and public works trade show for western France, reserved for professionals. Held every two years in October by CAPEB Pays de la Loire, it takes place at the Parc Expo Rennes Aéroport. Manufacturers and distributors present their new products to contractors, building companies, project managers and architects, across five areas: structural work, finishing work, building services, equipment, heavy machinery and public works. Paysalia is the leading trade show for landscaping, gardens and sports grounds. Held every two years at Eurexpo Lyon by GL events Exhibitions with Unep (the French landscaping federation), it runs alongside Rocalia , the natural stone show. Plants, irrigation, equipment, pools, turf, outdoor and urban landscaping, materials and lighting are presented to landscaping companies, specifiers, distributors and local authorities. On the timber side: decking, cladding, fencing, garden buildings and outdoor furniture. The 2025 edition (Paysalia and Rocalia) brought together 1,019 exhibitors and 41,500 professional visitors .

The Carrefour International du Bois brings the whole timber industry together in Nantes every two years: forestry and sawmilling, timber trade, wood and panels, timber construction, interior and outdoor fit-out. It is organised by Fibois Pays de la Loire, the regional forest and wood industry association. It is the timber product show par excellence: sawmills, importers, merchants and makers of panels, cladding, flooring and decking meet buyers, specifiers and installers from France and abroad. The 2026 edition brought together 650 exhibitors from 40 countries .

Batimat is the major international building and construction show, held every two years at Paris Expo Porte de Versailles by RX France. It is part of the Paris Builders Show , which brings several construction shows together on one site. Structural and finishing contractors, architects, engineering firms, clients and merchants discover materials, windows and doors, building envelope solutions, tools and services. Timber and bio-based construction has its own area. In 2026, the Paris Builders Show brought together around 2,000 exhibitors and some 120,000 participants .
