Accoya chosen for a decking project

The owners of a private house near Forges-les-Eaux, 44 km from Rouen in Normandy, chose Accoya wood for a new deck completed in June 2013. The project consists of two distinct areas: a large deck of around 90 m² and a smaller one of around 40 m², making 130 m² of decking in total. Accoya was the clear choice for two main reasons: markedly reduced maintenance compared with traditional species, and a minimal risk of swelling or distortion thanks to its exceptional dimensional stability. The boards were sold and laid by Architecture du Bois, a French decking manufacturer and installer. Pleased with the result, the owners planned to use Accoya again for another part of the project, begun in spring 2014.
