Accoya deck for the Villa Carat in Cannes

In Cannes, on the Côte d’Azur, the magnificent Villa Carat has gained a 140 m² Accoya deck surrounding a lap pool. The modified wood was specified by Woodstone Project for its exceptional performance: ecological, virtually rot-proof and free from deformation, while offering the warmth of natural solid timber. Around a pool, Accoya excels: extremely smooth to the touch, a splinter-free surface and boards that do not overheat in summer, perfect for bare feet. A sustainable alternative to tropical hardwoods, from certified fast-growing forests, non-toxic and 100% recyclable, it has achieved Gold level Cradle-to-Cradle certification. Rated for use class 4, it is guaranteed for at least 25 years in contact with water and soil. The deck was installed on a grad rail system, an Accoya partner since 2013.
