Accoya sliding shutters for the Tschuggen Grand Hotel

At 1,800 metres in the heart of the Swiss Alps, the Tschuggen Grand Hotel in Arosa, a five-star hotel renowned for its architecture and its exceptional service, has fitted its new mountain lofts of 110 to 160 m² with sliding shutters in Accoya wood. The company Jaloumatic AG installed a total of 12 kilometres of through-coloured Accoya Color Grey boards, for the sliding window shutters and the folding shutters of the loggias, mounted on Hawa 80 and Hawa Frontfold 30 systems. Designed by the practice Tilla Theus und Partner AG and completed in 2022 with the supplier Herzog-Elmiger AG and the sawmill Flückiger Holz AG, the two new buildings harmonise with the surrounding mountain landscape. The acetylated radiata pine, certified FSC and Cradle to Cradle Gold, offers dimensional stability, resistance to high-altitude weather, minimal maintenance and a 50-year guarantee.
