An Accoya front door and porch canopy

At West Bridgford, near Nottingham, the owner and interior design influencer @thehappybuild chose Accoya wood for the front door and porch canopy of her home. This self-build project, undertaken to create the family’s dream house, was designed by the local architects Rayner Davies. The approved manufacturer Brookeswood Joinery Ltd was tasked with making and fitting the Accoya front door and canopy, two elements that define the identity of the facade. The joinery was given a coating that darkens the natural tone of Accoya, to match the timber used for the window frames. Choosing Accoya guarantees a stable front door, resistant to the weather and needing little maintenance, while offering the warm look of real wood for this contemporary entrance, widely featured on Instagram.
