Automatic Accoya blinds for the EY Centre

In Sydney, the Ernst & Young centre embodies a new generation of intelligent, organic buildings that respond to their occupants. This 37-storey, 39,200 m² office tower, developed by Mirvac for 600 million dollars and designed by the practice Francis-Jones Morehen Thorp, has achieved a 6-star green rating, making it one of the most sustainable buildings in Australia. True to the environmental theme, all the blinds in the building were made in Accoya wood with the mfree-SCCF system from the Permasteelisa group. Fully automatic, they adjust throughout the day according to the incoming light, complementing a triple-glazed facade that guarantees an abundance of natural light. The first building in the country lit entirely by LED, it also incorporates CO2 and water consumption monitoring floor by floor, setting a new technological standard for workplaces.
