Berenbostel outdoor pool, Garbsen

After seven years of works, the Berenbostel outdoor swimming pool reopened in Garbsen, Germany, in May 2022. The external works represented an investment of 1.7 million euros.

Much of the mature tree cover was retained and twenty-nine new trees were planted around the site. Daybeds in Kebony modified wood or concrete are distributed between them. Large lying areas were also created in Kebony Clear, for a total of 200 square metres.

The green areas cover 11,000 square metres and include a beach volleyball court, a playground with sandpit, swings and seesaws beside the children's pool, and a six-metre climbing frame. The planted areas will be kept moist by automated irrigation systems. The pool itself is a 745 square metre stainless steel tank filled with 1.3 million litres of water, with two fifty-metre and four twenty-five-metre lanes.
