Hotel on Rivington in Manhattan

To keep its fresh, modern look at the heart of Manhattan’s Lower East Side, the Hotel on Rivington turned to Accoya wood for a large part of the overhaul of its shopfronts. Designed by Right Path Windows and Restoration, the project includes bespoke windows and doors, sliding bi-fold doors, street frontages, wall panels and standalone units, all made in Accoya. The material was chosen for its high dimensional stability, ideal for a large-scale urban joinery operation, as well as for its environmental credentials. Its remarkable ability to hold paint considerably reduces maintenance: thanks to the improved stability of Accoya, coatings last at least twice as long as on conventional timber, a decisive asset for a busy New York hotel.
