Port of Rochester Marina

The Port of Rochester Marina is a recent public facility on Lake Ontario, where the Genesee River meets the lake, about seven miles north of Rochester, New York. It offers boaters a full range of amenities and direct access to a wide array of recreational activities.

Engineering was handled by Edgewater Resources, a specialist in waterfront development. The scheme rests on an extensive network of floating docks, sized to provide safe berthing in all conditions.

The decking on those docks is Kebony modified wood. The material brings the durability required on a structure in permanent contact with water and subject to Lake Ontario's freeze cycles, while giving the installation a natural appearance in keeping with its setting. It needs no finish to reapply.
