Renovation of a Victorian property in London

In London, a former Victorian warehouse that had fallen into an advanced state of disrepair has been turned into a family home through a major renovation. The original windows and doors, rotten, had to be replaced entirely, and the new joinery had to meet the strict requirements of the conservation area. Made by The Sash Window Workshop, ten new Accoya sash and casement windows and five Accoya doors were installed in the property. Accoya was chosen for its remarkable durability and dimensional stability, guaranteeing joinery that will not distort despite the British climate, while faithfully reproducing the period style. Since the installation, the general appearance of the street has clearly improved, showing that a modern, high-performance material can serve the restoration of London’s Victorian heritage.
