Timber deck and pool surround at Radkersburg

In a beautiful natural garden at Radkersburg, in the Austrian region of Styria, Accoya wood was chosen for a deck and a pool surround: only real wood with exceptional performance could suit this setting. Accoya decking boards are durable, will not distort and remain pleasant underfoot over the long term, with no cracks or splinters; they do not heat up in the sun and stay cool at the water’s edge. In permanent contact with water, Accoya barely swells or shrinks and does not rot, which allows a 25-year guarantee even in direct immersion. The project was carried out by the distributor M. Hechenblaickner of Graz: the deck was oiled in a dark shade to create a strong contrast in the garden, with a concealed fixing system for a flawless result and no visible screws.
