This residential deck in Seattle combines Kebony Clear decking with aluminium railings. The contrast between timber and metal gives the structure its character: the slim metal posts and rails keep views open from the deck, while the timber floor provides comfort underfoot.

Light fittings are integrated directly into the railing rails, lighting the walking surface without any added fixture or post, and making the space usable in the evening.
