Characteristics

Carolina pine, also known as longleaf pine, is one of the most important softwoods on world markets. Its colour ranges from yellow-brown to red-brown, with a straight grain. Uses

Carolina pine is used in construction: posts, beams, exterior cladding and structural framing. It is also valued in the manufacture of furniture, flooring, mouldings and window frames. It is likewise used as pulpwood.
