LAMILUX SAS France is the French subsidiary of the German group LAMILUX, a manufacturer of rooflighting systems (glazed screens, skylights, domes) and glass-fibre-reinforced plastic composites. Based in Strasbourg, the French branch relays the business of a family company founded in 1909 in Rehau, in Bavaria, by master carpenter Heinrich Strunz. Now run by the fourth generation of the Strunz family, the parent company employs around 1,200 people and reported a turnover of around 293 million euros. Starting in woodworking in its early days, it turned to glass-fibre-reinforced plastics from 1955. The company structures its business around two hubs: rooflighting for building and GRP/GRP composites. It masters the design and manufacture of its products, from glazed screens for the building envelope to technical composite panels. The rooflighting hub brings together dome skylights, flat-roof skylights, continuous rooflights, roof glazing as well as smoke and heat exhaust solutions, including products designed for the passive house. The composites hub supplies glass-fibre-reinforced panels for construction (facades, ventilated or semi-transparent panels), caravans and motorhomes, utility vehicles, buses, hygiene, sport and containers. LAMILUX highlights products meeting passive-house requirements and fire-resistance criteria, and frames its business within a sustainability- and long-term-investment-oriented approach.
