Massy Et Fils

Heugas · France
Massy (Massy Et Fils) is a French timber-framing and timber construction company, based in Heugas, in the Landes, near Dax. Founded in 1964 by « Pierrot » Massy, the company was taken over in 1980 by his son Didier, then joined in 1995 by his brother Christophe, who now runs it. A third generation joined the company in 2024 with Alexandre Massy, who holds a BTS and a bachelor’s degree in timber construction; Didier, now retired from operations, chairs the FFB Landes and the CPME Nouvelle-Aquitaine. The company works in timber framing, notably in Douglas fir, roofing, timber-frame walls and timber house construction, for both new builds and renovations, with Qualibat and RGE certifications as well as a ten-year warranty. Its projects include the timber framing and construction of the Célayan residence in Dax in 2023, as well as the Douglas-fir timber framing and timber-frame walls of the Michel Guérard thermal baths. The workforce grew from about ten employees in 1980 to around forty today; each year the company trains five to six young people from CAP to bachelor’s level, both as apprentices and full-time, and regularly hosts Compagnons du Devoir during their Tour de France. True to a philosophy of family transmission and continuity, the company prioritizes sourcing timber over keeping cash reserves, according to its purchasing capacity. Established for nearly 60 years in Heugas, the Massy company specializes in timber framing, roofing and zinc work, timber house construction and energy renovation. It operates in the Landes, the Pyrénées-Atlantiques and the south of Gironde.
