Novactory

Novactory is a French company that designs and manufactures metal connectors for timber construction, brought together under the Co'Met® brand. Based in Couiza, in the Aude (Occitanie), the company belongs to the Blacksheep Tribes group, a player in managerial innovation present in France and Belgium. It is organized around two complementary hubs: a research and development laboratory (Novactory Lab), which designs and markets products, and a construction and renovation business run by building professionals. The core business of interest to the wood sector is based on the Co'Met® metal connector, a patented system designed with a low-tech approach. Made of steel, it is used to assemble and support timber structures without heavy foundations, with 360° orientation around a central axis and height adjustment that makes installation easier on uneven or sloping ground. The metal parts are produced in Limoges, the kraft packaging in Couiza and the packing in Quillan, in a short-circuit French-manufacturing approach. The range consists of central-rod feet, A and B connectors with a fixing ring and extension kits, assembled into a modular system. It is aimed at terraces, pergolas, light structures, roof structures and outdoor developments. The company claims a strength of more than 5 tonnes per foot and durability of several decades thanks to galvanized steel. The components are presented as recyclable and repairable, in a circular-economy approach.
