Paté Pointerie

Paté is a French manufacturer of pins, nails and nailing articles for the wood and building trades. Located in Flin, in Meurthe-et-Moselle (Grand Est), the company was founded in 1871 by Georges Paté, a former nail-works director from the annexed Moselle, who bought an old mill on the Meurthe. Having stayed for several generations in the same family line, it took on an industrial scale after 1948 under the impetus of Jean-Pierre Renaud, then was taken over in 2021 by David Deflin and Jean-François Bourdon, who committed to keeping production and know-how on site. Drawing on its wire-drawing experience, Paté masters the transformation of steel wire through to the finished nail and is among the leading French producers of bulk nails for building. This integration allows it to offer both nailing articles and products made from drawn wire. The catalog covers a wide range of nails: flat-head, lost-head, extra-wide slate, ribbed electro-galvanized concrete, twisted and ring-shank, as well as forged nails, staples, packaged wire and fencing products. The articles are aimed at timber framing and woodworking, roofing, agriculture, maintenance and construction, with packaging in 5 kg bags and 1 kg boxes. Paté ensures traceability of the raw material at every processing stage and carries out statistical checks on wire strength and nail dimensions. Its production complies with French and European standards (NF EN 10016, 10218-1, 10230-1 and 14592) and carries CE marking.
