SPAX is a German manufacturer of screws and connectors for wood and construction. The group has its main production unit in Ennepetal, Germany, where it makes up to 50 million screws a day distributed worldwide. SPAX belongs to the Altenloh, Brinck & Co (ABC) group, an industrial company active since 1823. The French subsidiary is based in Saint-Thibault-des-Vignes, in Seine-et-Marne. The company focuses its expertise on screw-fastening techniques for woodworking, timber construction and construction in general. It serves both professionals and the DIY and specialized-retail markets, emphasizing “made in Germany” engineering quality. The catalog covers a wide range of screws: universal screws, special wood screws, decking screws, plasterboard screws, concrete screws and screws for window making, in interior and exterior versions. SPAX also offers an extensive assortment of connectors for wood-wood, wood-steel and wood-concrete joints (joist hangers, brackets, anchor plates), as well as accessories (plugs, screwing aids, bits, storage systems). The screws come in steel and stainless steel (A1, A2, A4), with different coatings (WIROX, YELLOX, zinc-plated) and drives, including the T-STAR plus system. The company provides calculation software for timber construction and a decking configurator.
