STEICO is a European industrial group, a specialist and world leader in the manufacture of wood-fibre insulation and structural components for bio-based, low-carbon construction. Founded in Germany and with a head office in Feldkirchen (near Munich) as well as a French subsidiary based in Brumath in Alsace, the group operates several large automated production sites (notably in Poland and in France in Casteljaloux) and distributes its products internationally. STEICO's core business is the development of wood-based eco-materials for the building envelope. The company offers a complete construction system integrating both the load-bearing structure and thermal and acoustic insulation, meeting the requirements of passive buildings and environmental regulations (RE2020). The product range is built around flexible and rigid bio-based wood-fibre insulation (STEICOflex, STEICOuniversal, STEICOprotect for ETICS), loose-fill blow-in insulation (STEICOzell wood fibre and cellulose wadding), as well as high-performance structural products such as I-joists (STEICOjoist) and laminated veneer lumber (STEICO LVL). STEICO promotes a comprehensive eco-construction approach, using exclusively wood from sustainably managed forests certified FSC® and PEFC®, while guaranteeing a negative carbon footprint thanks to the durable storage of CO₂ within its construction products.
