Collet reducer for fitting S8 shank cutters with collets

Description

This Bugatool collet reducer allows S8 shank cutters to be fitted in a collet made for 12 mm shanks. It therefore adapts the tooling without changing collet, by housing a smaller-diameter shank in a larger-diameter tool holder. Machined for good centring, it preserves the concentricity of the cutter and limits run-out, provided the clamping and the cleanliness of the assembly are checked. Handy for workshops with cutters of mixed shank diameters, it saves buying additional collets. To be used in accordance with the router's clamping instructions, since the reduction in diameter can affect the rigidity of the set-up.
