Description

The Eberl Dämpftrockner is a steaming kiln designed for fast, economical steaming with simultaneous drying, mainly of softwoods. In the conventional steaming process, softwoods call for very long steaming times, often three weeks, as well as costly steam generation plant, and the timber then has to be re-stacked and dried separately. Eberl's machine combines these stages: a saturated steam atmosphere in the vessel delivers precise temperature distribution and colouring, while the high temperature of pressurised steam sharply shortens the colouring process. Superheating and dehumidifying the steam atmosphere allow regulated drying during the steaming phase, doing away with one operation. Many hardwoods also take on attractive colour shades in it. Control is through a touch panel, PC supervision and smartphone operation.
