Glued laminated timber Monnet-Sève Sougy What is Glued Laminated Timber (Glulam)? A piece of glulam is obtained by finger-jointing and gluing wooden laths with parallel grain, with a moisture content between 11% and 15%. The products are made with at least 4 laths of a thickness less than 45 mm. The glulam products of the Monnet-Sève Sougy group are planed on four sides with chamfered edges. The wood used to manufacture our glulam products comes from sustainably managed forests (PEFC certification). Glued laminated timber can be used as framing when the span exceeds 6 to 7 meters, or even 10 meters long, that is, when it is difficult to find solid wood boards. We work with 3 wood species We mainly work with spruce, Douglas fir and pine in all standard or custom dimensions up to 40 m long. In our workshops, we carry out the cutting and drilling for our customers' projects.
