Leica Disto D5 laser distance meter

Description

Designed by Leica Geosystems for outdoor surveys, the Disto D5 combines a built-in camera and a digital viewfinder: the target stays visible in the crosshairs on the IPS colour display, even when the laser dot is no longer visible. Measurement is triggered without contact, by briefly breaking the beam with the hand, which avoids moving the instrument on small targets or at long range. A 360° tilt sensor, smart horizontal mode, height tracking and profile measurement round out the area, volume and Pythagoras functions. The measurements go out over Bluetooth to the Leica Disto Plan app to create plans and sketches, or to a computer in keyboard mode, the values then being entered straight into a spreadsheet. The stated range reaches 200 m in favourable conditions and 150 m in unfavourable conditions, for an accuracy of 1 mm. IP54 housing, rechargeable Li-ion battery rated for up to 5000 measurements. Supplied with a pouch, a USB cable, a calibration certificate and a 3-year warranty.
