PBM Wood Block

Description

PBM bloc offers solid wood blocks, mainly in Douglas pine, which are used to build load-bearing walls and other structures. These blocks meet construction technical standards, are certified by ATG technical approval and comply with current and future thermal coefficients. They allow the construction of insulated mono-walls or sandwich-type double walls, with various insulation options between the two wooden walls. The blocks are planed on all four sides, with grooves on the lower and upper faces to facilitate interlocking, thus ensuring better tightness and greater strength. The wood used is not initially treated and has a natural resistance of class 3. It has excellent mechanical qualities and high resistance to ageing. The blocks are deliberately short (120 cm) to avoid twisting and are available in three thicknesses (10, 14 and 19 cm) with a height of 8.5 cm. Comparable dimensions can be produced for countries not using the metric system. The blocks are assembled according to the "Lego" principle and fixed using six long screws. One of their advantages is to allow easy self-construction with minimal equipment and a simple technique to master. Additional pieces such as junction rails, lintels, corner pieces, half-blocks and technical pieces are also available.
