How to choose pallet racking?
Warehouse racking may seem complicated for a very simple operation. Pallet racking is a storage system that uses rows of metal shelving to hold pallets of goods. These systems have several levels accessible to forklifts. Pallet racking is available in two main configurations: roll-formed (selective) racking and structural racking.
The most common type is teardrop pallet racking, which has teardrop-shaped slots for inserting the beam connectors. It significantly reduces the risk of pallets falling by providing a larger bearing surface. Protect the frame from damage caused by pallets or forklift impacts with upright protectors or rack guards. Selective racking offers excellent, unrestricted access to large materials. When the FILO (first in, last out) method is applied, drive-in pallet racking is used.
In pallet flow racking, pallets are loaded onto rollers that slope along rails, and gravity moves the pallets to the front of the rack.
