Halmstad library becomes a natural haven

The municipal library in Halmstad, Sweden, has recently been given a new look with 1,400 m² of Woodura Planks STENINGE 3.0 boards in natural oak. The aim of the renovation was to create a peaceful, welcoming atmosphere reflecting the beauty of the surrounding nature, and in particular the nearby River Nissan. The densified wood floor was chosen for its durability and its warm appearance, ideal for a place as busy as a library. The practice Tengbom Arkitekter oversaw the project with particular attention to the balance between functionality and design.
