Timber woven into nature

Čoarvemátta is a cultural building on a hilltop at Kautokeino, Norway, symbolising Sami culture and its bond with nature. Designed by Snøhetta and 70°N arkitektur, in collaboration with Joar Nango, it draws on the articulation of a reindeer antler, with wings extending in several directions. The roof, covered in Kebony Character wood, blends harmoniously into the surrounding landscape.
