EGGER

EGGER is an Austrian manufacturer of wood-based panels. Founded in 1961 by Fritz Egger in St. Johann in Tirol, where it has retained its headquarters, the group has remained a family business. It now has around 11,000 employees and 22 production sites across eleven countries, with sales of around 4 billion euros. EGGER's core business is the processing of wood into panels, an activity that originated from the recovery of sawmill by-products when its first particleboard plant was commissioned in 1961. The group has since broadened its scope to include all wood-based products intended for furniture, interior design and construction. The range includes particle and fibre boards, decorative fit-out panels, laminate floor coverings and timber construction products. EGGER mainly serves the furniture industry, the timber trade and DIY retailers. The company also offers coordinated collections combining decors and materials. EGGER aligns its activities with an environmental approach structured around a “Net Zero 2050” objective and highlights a wood supply sourced from sustainable forest management.
