EVR Architecten
Gand · Belgique
EVR Architecten is a Belgian architecture firm specializing in sustainable architecture and urban planning.
Founded more than twenty years ago in Ghent by Luc Eeckhout, Jan Van Den Broeke and Luc Reuse, the firm is now led by partners Manu Heytens, Bart Verstappen and Niels Baeck. It brings together around forty staff in a multidisciplinary team combining architects, engineers, urban planners and designers.
EVR Architecten describes itself as a design team dedicated to sustainable architecture and urban planning, working for both private and public clients. The firm was a pioneer in passive construction and fully sustainable construction in Belgium.
The project portfolio covers housing, public buildings, as well as cultural and university facilities, such as innovation centers and libraries, in several Belgian cities including Ghent, Antwerp, Brussels and Vilvoorde. This diversity of programs reflects an approach combining technical expertise, social commitment and cultural roots in each of the territories where the firm works.
EVR Architecten pursues a sustainable and circular construction approach, part of a long-term reflection on the ecological transition of buildings and the city.
