Let’s Meet

In Ghent, the former ACV office building has been entirely transformed into a modern conference centre named Let’s Meet.

The project, designed by EVR architects, rests on deconstructing the existing structures and replacing them with a solid timber structure, considerably reducing the carbon footprint. FSC® certified LDCwood® ThermoWood® pine was chosen to create a permanent brise-soleil, contributing to the energy efficiency and the appearance of the building.

This wood, fire-retardant treated with the natural Burnblock® retardant by Lemahieu Fire Protection, ensures optimal fire safety with no need for further treatment.

The small knots of the pine give the facade a playful, contemporary and lively character, which will weather naturally to a fine silver tone.
