Festool is a German manufacturer of professional power tools designed for woodworking. Founded in 1925 in Esslingen am Neckar under the name Fezer & Stoll by Gottlieb Stoll and Albert Fezer, the company has remained a family business. Its headquarters are now located in Wendlingen am Neckar, near Stuttgart, and it belongs to the TTS Tooltechnic Systems Group, which also includes the Tanos brand. The company employs more than 2,700 people, operates in 68 countries and generates a large share of its business from exports. The Festool France subsidiary handles distribution in the French market. Specializing in high-end power tools for woodworking trades, the company designs tools intended for intensive, long-lasting professional use. Production is carried out in Germany (Wendlingen, Neidlingen, Illertissen) and in the Czech Republic (Česká Lípa). Festool highlights its innovation expertise, with more than 350 patents and numerous awards. The catalog includes saws (circular, plunge, jigsaws), sanders (random orbital, finishing, belt), drill-drivers, routers, planers and grinders, as well as an 18V cordless range. In addition, there are vacuum cleaners and dust extraction solutions, accessories and Systainer storage systems. The company notably developed the DOMINO joining system and Systainer storage.
