KEIM, inventor of mineral silicate paint KEIM is a German manufacturer of mineral paints and the European leader in this technology. It all began in 1878: Adolf Wilhelm Keim patented potassium-silicate paint, whose mineral binder chemically bonds to the substrate instead of forming a surface film. The KEIMFARBEN group now produces at two German sites, Diedorf for paints and Alteno / Luckau for powder mortars and insulation systems, both certified ISO 9001 and ISO 14001. The minerals are mostly extracted in Germany and Austria, as close as possible to the plants.
