Simpson Strong-Tie

Simpson Strong-Tie is a manufacturer of connectors and fasteners for structural timber joints. Of American origin, the Simpson Strong-Tie group was founded in 1956 and began manufacturing wood-wood and wood-masonry connectors. Established in France since 1997, it built a plant there in 2001 in Sainte-Gemme-la-Plaine, in the Vendée (85), a production site now extended to nearly 20,000 m². The company strengthened its French roots with the 2009 acquisition of Aginco, a French manufacturer of framing connectors, and broadened its offer through other European acquisitions (S&P, MS Découpe, Gbo Fastening Systems). The company positions itself as a major player in connections for structural timber joints, an activity it presents as its core business internationally. It highlights local manufacturing, stating that the vast majority of connectors delivered in France come from its Vendée plant. The catalog covers more than 1,000 connection solutions for timber framing: joist hangers, brackets, stirrups, post bases and framing hardware. Added to these are fasteners (screws, nails), metal anchors and chemical resins, the Quik Drive screwing system, as well as specific ranges such as Inox, Impreg+, ZPRO and Design Series.
