Sold under the names Balau Yellow or Bangkirai, this South-East Asian hardwood is imported by Guillemette & Cie from Indonesia and Malaysia. The manufacturer intends it for decking, the leading application for tropical hardwoods in outdoor floors. The company supplies it as sawn timber cut to order, with sections prepared to order according to the project. Sourcing relies on sustainably managed forests and on long experience of the region's timbers, making it possible to offer processed products on competitive terms. FSC or PEFC certification remains conditional: it applies only to batches identified as certified and is checked before the order is placed.
