Description

The BIGonDRY THW range brings together high-temperature timber thermo-modification installations with a net capacity of around 4 to 30 m³. The generator combines a two-stage direct gas burner and an AISI 316 stainless steel exchanger, while a highly developed control system allows several treatments on a single machine: drying, steaming, sterilisation to ISPM-15, thermo-steaming and heat treatment up to 250 °C. This process gives the timber increased durability and stability with no chemical additive: it reduces shrinkage and swelling, improves resistance to insect attack and gives an even dark colour right through the thickness thanks to precise electronic control. Geared towards eco-sustainable processes, the installation optimises energy consumption while limiting atmospheric emissions. It is delivered pre-assembled for transport by lorry: connection, testing and commissioning remain to be done on site.
