Bonding Adhesive 90-8-30A is a high-strength solvent-based contact adhesive that enables fast bonding of cured flashings and membranes to various substrates. It is a synthetic rubber adhesive specially formulated for application with a glue roller and versatile enough in terms of film tack time to allow the application and bonding of large areas in a single pass. The adhesive is intended for bonding white EPDM and black EPDM membranes to various substrates, particularly OSB. How to use the glue with a roller? After carefully opening the pot, mix the glue to obtain a smooth texture without causing splashes. We recommend using gloves and eye protection. Apply the glue with large, regular movements over part of the surface of the substrate and of the membrane that will be bonded onto it, using a 22 cm roller. You can use an extension handle. The correct amount of glue is about 630 g/m², but depends on the quality of the substrate. Let the glue dry, until the glue on the membrane and on the substrate is dry to the touch. No filament should remain stuck to the fingers. You can then apply the membrane onto the substrate. Bonding is immediate. The glue is very adhesive. Once the sheet is applied, it is very difficult to remove. We recommend positioning the membrane well before considering gluing and to progress over small areas to avoid creating creases. Do not work at a temperature below 5°C and/or in high humidity.
