Description
A roll of honeycomb-structured copper, with self-adhesive butyl beads along the edges of the underside. Placed below the ridge line, the strip makes use of the copper wire effect: rainwater passing over it takes up copper oxide and then spreads the active agent down the slope, which limits the growth of moss without mechanical cleaning. The honeycomb relief holds more water and strengthens the reaction. The quantity of ions washed off stays low, so that collecting rainwater for watering remains possible. The substrate must be clean, dry and degreased, to be treated with primer if need be; laying is to be avoided below 5 °C and in damp weather. On a ridge or on a smooth substrate, the manufacturer points instead to the copper version with a full butyl underside. Rolls of 5 m in 200 mm width.
