Description
A structural screw in pre-hardened dichromate steel, 8 mm in diameter and with a Torx 40 recess, intended for roof structure joints, timber frame construction and sarking. Its thread runs to the point, which gives a quick bite and easier centring: a pilot hole becomes unnecessary and the risk of splitting the wood is reduced, a decisive advantage on small sections or at the edge. An anti-friction coating applied to the cutting teeth limits heating while driving, and a milling rib under the head guarantees good penetration through to flush. Sixteen lengths are listed, from 100 to 400 mm in steps of 20 mm, which covers all the thicknesses met in sarking, from a single insulation board to thick build-ups. Packed in cartons of fifty pieces.
