Description

A three-dimensional polypropylene filament mat, 9 mm thick, intended for metal roofs. Placed between the covering material and its substrate, a roofing underlay or otherwise, it separates the two and leaves a continuous air gap. This gap avoids permanent contact between the metal and a damp substrate, the source of corrosion on the underside, and lets condensate drain away. The open structure serves a second, acoustic purpose: it cuts the impact noise of rain and hail by about 5 decibels, a nuisance typical of profiled steel or zinc roofs on an insulated building. The mat is supplied in rolls of 35 m², that is 25 metres long by 1.4 metres wide, packed on pallets of nine rolls, which comes to 315 m².
