Description
A polyurethane foam impregnated with resin, supplied in the precompressed state with one self-adhesive face. The principle is that of controlled expansion: the seal is only effective once the foam has fully expanded, and the time this takes varies with the temperature at the moment of laying. The tape provides air and water tightness while bringing thermal and acoustic insulation, and can also serve as a separating joint. It complies with DIN 18542 and with NF P 85-570 and NF P 85-571 class 1, and is tested as compliant with driving rain tests under direct exposure at 600 Pa. Fields of use: joints in facades and in external joinery of wood, PVC or aluminium, cladding, timber frame construction, precast concrete elements. Choosing the size is decisive: the width of the tape must match the gap to be filled, failing which the sealing function is lost.
