Membranes & barriers
Description
A membrane formed of two polypropylene non-wovens framing a humidity-variable functional membrane, with no reinforcing scrim. Its mechanical strength nevertheless remains sufficient for blown insulation, and the manufacturer states it is compatible with all types of insulation. The humidity-variable behaviour adjusts the resistance to vapour diffusion according to the ambient humidity, the principle sought in the design of breathable walls. The field of use covers new build and renovation, lowland as well as mountain climates above 900 metres, rooms of low and medium humidity with a W/n ratio of 5 g/m³ or below, and sloping, vertical or horizontal walls, the membrane being laid on the internal lining side of the insulation. The product is EC1 Plus labelled for its very low emissions of volatile organic compounds, and QNG Ready. It complies with CPT 3560 V2 and with NF EN 13984.
