EVO-GRIP™ high-capacity connectors for higher-performance timber structures With the EVO-GRIP™ connector, KNAPP offers an even higher-performance solution for post-and-beam and main-to-secondary beam connections in timber engineering. Available in 15 standard sizes and also made to measure, this connector range has a load capacity of 55 kN to 550 kN and is suitable for timber-to-timber, timber-to-steel and timber-to-concrete connections. EVO-GRIP™ consists of two identical connecting plates in high-strength aluminium with a gripping system on the back. This patented device interlocks the connector with the timber, increasing the load-bearing capacity of the joint by up to 40% compared with a conventional screwed fixing alone.
