Debarkers
Description
This fixed-rotor ring debarker handles billets by centring them ahead of the machine: a pivoting conveyor brings in the timber, which is then held by sets of spiked rollers articulated at 120°, each independently driven, arranged around the ring rotor. This kinematic design makes it possible to debark billets up to about 6 m long, at high feed speeds suited to the volumes of modern canter-type sawing lines. Three ring diameters are offered — 450, 650 and 800 mm — for timber with a minimum diameter of 80 mm and a minimum length of 1.6 m. Depending on species and diameter, feed speeds range from 20 to 90 m/min. All the rotors take four or five debarking arms fitted with interchangeable carbide tools, pressed on by pneumatic bellows cylinders, for consistent and durable debarking.
