Description

The Grand Som is a two-car carport produced by the sawmill in local French manufacture, in dried and planed spruce treated with Xylophene to use class 2. The frame, delivered as a ready-to-assemble kit, is put together with mortise-and-tenon joints pegged in wood, in the traditional way. The kit includes all the ironmongery needed: adjustable post bases, anchor bolt, coach screw, wooden pegs and screws. The shelter sits on a concrete slab or concrete pads. The timber comes from sustainably managed forests and carries the Bois des Alpes and PEFC certifications. Options include the roof covering (tile or steel sheet), the flashings, the roof boarding, a solid Douglas fir version, as well as installation and delivery.
