Description

For small and medium-sized distributors, Herakles puts the emphasis on the sales and logistics chain. Customer prices are set by product family and by item, according to quantities and periods; on the supplier side, the price grids take in quantities, order thresholds and the carriage-paid level. Purchases and sales are handled in several currencies. Products can carry a bill of materials, and traceability is tracked on both purchase and sale. Demand is driven through firm and forecast orders, with a sales and operations plan. A quality check takes place on receipt and on delivery of the packages, backed up by the printing of standard one and two dimensional barcode labels. Stock is managed on a forecast basis and handled by barcode on a handheld terminal, from supplier receipt through to stocktaking. Despatch preparation, transport, profitability analysis and automation of the flows through EDI, including from an online shop, complete the scope.
