Herakles Mobilité brings together the shop-floor uses: production tracking, labour booking, stock movements and quality control, all of them available through barcode scanning. The solution runs equally well on a workstation with a browser, to which a USB barcode scanner can be connected, on a smartphone or tablet, or on an industrial handheld terminal. Depending on the site layout, the security policy adopted and operating needs, it works over Wi-Fi, over third to fifth generation mobile networks, or offline where there is no network coverage. Customisation goes right down to the way a field is filled in, by drop-down list or by scanning, according to the hardware the operators use.
