Herakles industrial planning module for S&OP and master production schedule

Description

This add-on module takes the company from strictly project-based management to forecast-based management, the two modes coexisting. The sales and operations plan defines a delivery forecast down to item level, built from the firm orders, from forecast orders created for the purpose, from the previous year of consumption history and from the trend produced by an ABC analysis. Sales forecasts can be viewed and entered by week or by month, in detail or cumulatively. The master production schedule picks up these approved forecasts, matches them against the bills of materials and puts forward production releases and purchases. The calculation takes account of the parameters carried by each item: whether it is included in the plan, the reorder level, the minimum stock, the release batch, the minimum order quantity and the manufacturing and procurement lead times. The result is presented together with the figures that explain it.
