Applications intended by the manufacturer: the chip-free drilling of hinge holes in solid wood and wood-based materials. Design details given by the manufacturer: 2 chip clearers, 2 scribers and a centring point, and brazed in HW. Benefits claimed in use: chip-free drilling thanks to scribers with a special geometry, even when drilling at the panel edge, a chip clearance that allows very good extraction, the ability to drill very close to the underside of the panel thanks to a short centring point, and a low cutting force.
